Post-Covid Revolutionary Decisions

Today, it looks like no country is satisfied with their situation. Locals of rich  nations are remembering the good old days which they saw at the beginning of this millennium when developing countries were counting them in developed world. Although poor countries were not included in any good but still their people were hopeful that one day their situation will change too. Meanwhile, all these dreams are crushed by corona and Ukraine war and hyper inflation caused by these. But only those people think like this who have their specific point of view of seeing this world. But in real, many factors are involved in pushing the world in these deep crisis which didn't arrive all of a sudden for sure, but it took them at least 80 years to create an impact that much huge. Its not only the price of fast pacing world but its also the price of using cheap resources of power, and its not due to a particular country or nation, but each and every resident of this world is responsible. In these factors, rapid increase in population of the world is at top, second is climate change and third reason is rising of the sense of nationalism in society. If we compare the population of the last century with the population of the first 22 years of this century, than we will get to know that it has doubled now. Which means currently population of the world is approx. 7.5 billion, out of this 2.6 billion people lives just in China and India. Earth and its resources is same as it was before although due to over population scarcity of food is the issue now. On one hand, place for living is getting congested day by day for the people due to rapid increase in population and on the other hand, climate change due to that is also creating difficulties for us. Although, scientist were trying to warn the world from last 50 years about this calamity, but not only governments didn't pay any attention but also our carelessness towards this matter can not be ignored. Now that the summer situation in UK and Europe is same like tropical countries, flood situation in the deserts of Arab countries, cities are drowning due to the melting glaciers, we are coming into senses. Another dangerous fact is that, instead of positive changes, negative priorities are getting promoted in human behaviour. After the destruction of Second World War, the world started to flourish and it was like, the world is for everyone, countries are just specifying geographical boundaries. The reason for establishing European Union was same, "Globalization" was it's base. But the same old aggressive approach have been started to using again by the end of first decade of this century. Tolerance is started to lagging in nations, nationalism is being promoted, and out of all this the most concerning thing happened was that "Protectionalism" has taken its place and the ideology of "World For Everyone" has again put under the ideology of "No, our country and nation is first, everything comes second". After this point of view, Some countries starts seeing every nation as their enemies. Conspiracy theories are getting famous and now even well educated people are sharing them. They are not only believing on every kind of racist social media posts but they are also trying to make other believe on it too with their convincing points. They are not thinking that if every country will close their doors for other countries than what will be its consequences. Unfortunately, racist mind leaders are getting popular and they are putting every thing on stake for their power. The most astonishing thing is that this thinking is getting popular especially in those countries which played a vital role in eliminating it after second world war. Cold wars were kept on bringing after WW II, but none of the factor was involved in these that could make it disastrous. Soviet Union was busy in their socialist system, while US and West were happy in capitalism. China was slowly slowly progressing through economical development after the revolution, meanwhile Soviet Union couldn't be able to shook the global system after disposing off. Them coming towards unipolar system was quite peaceful. There wasn't any war between Soviet Russia and Europe, but there battle was ideological, and communication technology played an important role in this ideological battle. Now, when East and West Europe is united, then capitalism system, besides has the priority on real communist ideology to make the living standards better. And for this, West Germany played a vital role, not only they accepted their low grade East part politically but they also opened their houses for them setting a high example of humanity, and then they both worked hard together like brothers for the development of Europe. 

In this instance, its also important to know what's happening in Germany now, because Brussels used to be the Headquarter of European Union. Whole Europe's fate used to be decided from here during the regime of Chancellor Angela Merkel. The first change in Germany was seen during the time of Angela Merkel, when Germany implemented a strict policy related refugees. They stated a famous saying while opening the doors for Syrian refugees that "Wir Shafen Das" (We can handle them) which reflected their policy of that time. This policy was greatly appreciated by UK and other European countries, because obviously they didn't want that huge number of refugees would become burden on their economies. Second big issue was that also, how President Putin and Irani Government supported Bashar al- Assad, than how Arab and Turkey had fallen, after that they just could not send these refugees back. Germany is a different nation, they are proud of themselves, than history tells us that they never conquered any country outside of Europe neither did they colonized any one nor outsiders were accepted by them. There is only German nation there, and they don't speak or listen any other language except German. Very often you'll find any English sign board there. After tying knot with East Germany, although there hearts got united, but a huge numbers of Russian speaking Germans also started living there in the country. Angela, who decided the fate of Germany for a longtime herself was the daughter of Russian speaking Father of the Church. It has been said for her, that she always has a soft corner for Russia, that's why when the unrest between US and Russia used to increase a lot than she used to play an important part to settle the situation. 

Germany has changed a lot in just six months of this ongoing year. After the retirement of Merkel, her successor Olaf Scholz also want to keep the pace of Germany's development but he also thinks that their development is tied with West and USA, which means that if Germany is leading Europe, than their direction will also be same. Olaf has already given the clear sign of it right after the Ukraine war broken out and he has full support of his allies in which "Liberal" and "Green Party" is included. He announced three basic changes right after the invasion of Russian tanks in Ukraine, first that Germany is going to support Ukraine till last, second they will punish Russia by putting sanction on them and third they will increase their military power. With the allies "Liberal" and "Green Party", implementing this policy is a sign of clear mutual understanding of the nation. And after that, He openly supported Ukraine in terms of military and economy, and he also changed his policy about importing gas from Russia. Putin is really concerned about this aggressive policy of Germany.

Germany is leading the world in terms of technology se we cannot think any less of them in aspect of this. The solar and atomic energy plants of Germany has huge importance in terms of quantity and capability. If Germany and Europe decides to go towards alternative resources of energy, than it will not be easy for Russia to tackle them. They are relying on China and India, these two big economies are although supporting them but on what price? Experts thinks that it would be better if Russia had gone for a 50-50 trade policy with Europe instead of going on complete loss. Now oil prices have fallen down by 30% already and we are expecting more downfall in near future, so president Putin and Economists have to think that how far this matter can go. Remember that Germany is getting 30% fuel of its total requirement from Russia. 

Europeans not only have seen destructions of two World Wars, but they have also faced deadly cold weather. In WW II, Hitler faced the most humiliating defeat from Russia. Stalingrad's siege of German armies that lasted for 900 days is whole another story of horrible incidents. As per to military aspects, the number of soldiers who died of shivering due to extreme cold weather during siege was almost more than the number of total deaths during whole war. According to military experts, the official defeat of Hitler started from Stalingrad. After all that was past, but now how Germany has given indication of increasing its military power is concerning yet astonishing for Russia. They have immediately increased their military budget of 50 Billion Euros to 100 Billion Euros. We should know that fact, that Joe Biden in his approx. 2 years tenure not only attended two NATO Meetings himself but has also focused on making it more active, aggressive and modern. NATO is extended from Europe to South Asia, and in last 30 years; they had done huge operations in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan. America claims to shift its interest from Middle East and West Asia to South East Asia. Military experts thinks that Russia rapidly moved to fill this gap through Ukraine, but they faced solid retaliation there and they are not able to achieve their basic target even after six months. It seems like, after the Brexit in America at least military leadership has been given to Germany, because they have economical power and technology as well. 

Now let's come back to the question that what happen to the happiness of this world, which peaked at the start of 21st century, than post-covid world have taken some revolutionary steps. It is obvious that China being the second huge economy in the world is concerning for both America and West but they have also tried to tackle it by making India and Japan to stand in front of China in the form of Quad-Forum, now lets see are they gonna get success or not. On the other hand, they made NATO highly active to handle Russia which is considered as enemy no 1 by them. Small countries misunderstood terrorism as the biggest issue after the incident of 9/11. They were thinking that these small groups would shake the structure of huge economies, but they were wrong at it. Now mostly small countries are the victim of it. Afghanistan is the latest example of it. Iraq and Afghanistan are though independent countries, but we all know the situation, they are in. Predictions about Iran is that, they will try to make nuclear deals as well along with friendship with Arab countries. Israel has now given the status of watchman in Middle East, on which everyone is agreed from Turkey to Arab and Africa. This question is maybe not that much important for small countries now that which country is heading towards which direction, because keeping all the friendships and quarrels aside every country is focusing on making its economy stronger. Now foreign policy makers shouldn't be deciding that which country do they have to support, but they should be how to find ways of happiness and relief for its people.
